The Fuggerei
The Augsburg Fuggerei is located just 500 meters from the Altstadt Suite. Founded in 1521 by Jakob Fugger, it is the oldest social housing estate in the world. It offers needy Catholics affordable housing for a symbolic annual rent of 1 guilder. With 67 houses and 140 apartments, it is a unique example of social responsibility.
Opening hours: April to September daily 9 am to 8 pm; October to March daily 9 am to 6 pm

Augsburger Puppenkiste
The Augsburger Puppenkiste is also located in the old town. It is a world-famous puppet theater and a highlight for visitors of all ages. Since 1948, the theater has delighted audiences with lovingly staged plays such as "Jim Knopf" and "Urmel aus dem Eis". In the associated museum, the "Puppenhaus", you can experience the famous characters up close. A must for fans of puppetry and nostalgic stories!

The Schaezler Palace
The Schaezler Palace in Augsburg is a magnificent 18th century baroque palace and a cultural highlight of the city. It houses impressive art collections, including works from the German Baroque Gallery and masters such as Dürer and Holbein. The magnificent Rococo ballroom, a masterpiece of architecture, is particularly worth seeing. The palace offers art, history and baroque elegance in a unique ambience.
Opening hours : Tue–Sun from 10am–5pm, closed on Mondays
